The Village and the Gallery filled with raging rising river water in two hours. Most destructive and amazing, may we never see that again. Thanks to the generosity of Miller and Kathryn Longbotham, "Above the High Water Mark" has a home for a day. On Saturday, September 24th from 11-6pm, the Longbotham's will open their home to host Gallery Wright's new show. Beloved gallery artist Andy Newman spent the spring and summer working on his Gallery Wright show for September. Luckily, all of Andy's new paintings were still safe in his studio when Irene decided to have her way with Wilmington. And lucky we are too that "Above the High Water Mark" will be held around the corner from Gallery Wright at 39 Lisle Hill Road on Saturday September 24th from 11-6pm. Artist reception with Andy Newman from 4-6pm. Paintings from the gallery that survived the flood will be available as well. More information to follow next week. Check the gallery website, early next week for images of the surviving works and Andy's "Above the High Water Mark". Coming Soon "Above the High Water Mark: Online Exhibit" - View and purchase paintings from Andy Newman's latest exhibit and other gallery works that survived the flood. | |||||
